Knights of Columbus

Council Meetings:

Our council meets the first Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. We pray the Rosary at 6:30 p.m. in the church and following the meeting we have a social from 8:00 pm to 9:00 pm.  We are blessed with an array of gifted cooks and we serve a full meal almost every other month.  If you are not a member and would like to attend a meeting to learn more about the Knights and our council, please contact any of the officers or e-mail so we can accommodate your request.



The Knights of Columbus is open to all practical Catholic males 18 years or older.  The Knights was formed to render financial aid to members and their families. Mutual aid and assistance are offered to sick, disabled and needy members and their families.  If you are your family member is in need of assistance or prayers please contact the Grand Knight.

Activities of Council:

St. Peter's Parish Fundraiser: Let's eat drink and be merry, all for a worthy cause. This adult only evening has turned into the major fundraising tool at St. Peter's. The Knights of Columbus is proud to take part in helping organize and develop this prestigious event with the Parish Council of Catholic Women.

Intellectual Disabilities/Tootsie Roll Drive: One weekend in October the Knights collect money at HyVee on 40th and Super Saver on Pine Lake and 27th to support individuals with  intellectual disabilities.  Half of the proceeds collected go to Villa Marie Home and School for Exceptional Children in Waverly and he the other half goes to the support broader needs around the state of Nebraska.

One Rose One Life: This activity professes our commitment to the Culture of Life and our continuous stand against abortion.

One Rose for Motherhood: The Knights of Columbus is proud to honor new mothers and their pro-life example. At the ceremony of baptism, Knights give the mother a long stem rose to show our support of the Rite of Life and our honor of motherhood.

Knights of Columbus Blood Drive: All Knights and parishioners are encouraged to donate blood at the Easter, back to school and Christmas drives or anytime at one of the community centers. Please fill out the "count me in" card in the name of St. Peter's K of C.
